Eads Family Vineyards

Their flagship wine, Clos Dubreuil, is a must-try, a vibrant bottle with notes of black cherry, plum, cinnamon, and tobacco.

Houstonian Ralph Eads is the brains behind the operation. 

His mother, Sarajane, became one of the first women to import French wines into Texas back in the 1970s, and the winery wouldn’t exist without her help and inspiration.

The first iteration launched in 2014, and they’ve since opened 5 locations across the city, making it a super accessible spot to incorporate into any itinerary.

While they all have a similar atmosphere, our favorite has to be the original spot in Houston’s West University neighborhood. 

Intimate seating and a selection of board and card games make it just as suited to a romantic evening as a girls’ night out.

In addition to their artisanal wines, Bacco’s also offers spirits, beer, and coffee from around the world, plus simple but delicious bites like burgers and pizza.
